Ciputra Film Festival raises the theme “Arunika” which means the light of the sun that has just risen, as well as the work of every youth of the nation’s that will rise and be recognized by many people. That way, CFF will be a place for the work of the nation's youth, especially short films to start their journey in this field. In addition to film screening, webinars and talk shows were also held by Riri Riza, Rahabi Mandra, Wahyu Agung, Ertanto Robby who have encouraged the enthusiasm of young filmmakers in producing films.

CFF 2023 raised the theme “Inara” which means the light of hope, so young filmmakers are expected to be able to find a new, more a glorious opportunity in the world of cinema by following a series of programs presented. In addition to film screenings, Expert Session was also organized by Diaz Bachtiar (Producer and Founder of Telinga Mata Nusantara), Pandu Birantoro (Executive Producer of Ideosource Entertainment), Wahyu Agung (Founder and Director of Ravacana Films), and Goenrock (Cinematographer, Videographer, Content Creator, and Founder of YouRock Studio) with the theme Entrepreneurship in Film Industry. The Community Forum was also organized as a casual discussion space for film communities in Surabaya and surrounding areas.

CFF 2024 raised the theme “Unseen” which means with the hope that through film work, emerging filmmakers are unafraid to speak out on important issues are rarely noticed by people in Indonesia. In addition, this theme is intended to reveal the details of the filmmaking process so that it can provide new insights for the audience. In addition to film screenings, Focus On : Seeing The Lens of Wimar Herdanto with screenings of his films as well as a discussion room with his perspective and Expert Session : Unseen Series by Dion Wiyoko (Indonesian Actor) and Wregas Bhanuteja (Director of Penyalin Cahaya (2021), Budi Pekerti (2023) and his other films).
